May is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month and is intended to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues.
Mental Health is a conversation that needs to be had. According to the National Alliance on Mental Health, 1 in 5 US Adults experience mental illness, yet there is still a stigma that surrounds the issue that prevents people from speaking out on the topic.
One of the most important things we can do this month - and always - is to try to break that barrier. We believe that there is no shame when it comes to prioritizing your well-being and having an open conversation about it can be the first important step to end the stigma.
This month, we encourage everyone to have conversations with their loved ones about mental health. Whether it's checking in on how someone is doing, offering support, or simply listening without judgment, these conversations can make a real difference in someone's life. It's a reminder that we are not alone, and that seeking help and support is a courageous and important step towards healing and recovery.
We are committed to showing our support for those struggling with Mental Health. This month, we're donating proceeds from our website to The Loveland Foundation in their effort to bring opportunity and healing to communities of color.
